WELCOME

JASMIN-NEVIN VARUL was born in Heidelberg in 1991 and currently still lives in Darmstadt. She began her acting training at the Keller Drama School in 2020 and worked with Michael Keller (HfS Ernst Busch), Judith Bohle and Jürg Wisbach during her training. This was immediately followed by a permanent engagement at the STAATSTHEATER DARMSTADT in 2022.

With her first production "Drei Kameradinnen", she received invitations to both the Heidelberg Stückemarkt and the Akademie der Künste's Week of Young Actresses. Growing up as the daughter of an Azerbaijani-Iranian mother and a Kurdish-Turkish father, she speaks several languages, lived in Spain for a time and speaks a total of nine languages.

In the short film DAS SCHWELLENLAND (2022, directed by Carolin Wittmann), in which she played alongside Doris Buchrucker and Hans Stadlbauer, she received awards at the Berlin Short Film Festival, Berlin Indie Festival and Mannheim Arts and Film Festival. Most recently, she shot MORDSSCHWESTERN for ZDF under the direction of Ole Zapata.

At the end of the 23/24 season, she will end her permanent engagement at Staatstheater Darmstadt.
